We met Emma years ago, when she was running her magazine E2k Magazine out of her Bronx, NYC apartment office. She was moving the print magazine religiously throughout the neighborhood and putting everyone on!, it didn’t matter if you was a celebrity, influencer or entrepreneur. if you had potential and ambition, Emma gave you an opportunity to promote your hustle, whether it was by placing a $25 Ad or being featured. You got your shine and you couldn’t deny that. That source of promotion didn’t come often but it was meant to develop yourself as an artist or entrepreneur if done right.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is in October, and we know Emma to be an advocate, her stand against violences reaches far and beyond, her thrive is not silent as she makes sure everyone stands together in the fight. It was only right to reach out to Emma to get a clear understanding of her mission and her emotions behind taking a stand to bring attention to the issue of domestic violence for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

For those who don’t know of you introduce yourself.

Greetings well I am a Publisher/ Writer /Poet /Blogger /Host /Advocate /Motivator /Event Organizer/ MoM/ Radio personality / Woman Of God / CEO of E2K Worldwide, llc and E2K Magazine

When did you first find your passion? (Tell us all about your movement)

My Passion to motivate and empower women was born when I was a young girl, but more so when I realized that having healthy sisterhood really helped in the growth of all women. Growing up around constant violence, in the streets of the Bronx, NY. I always found myself helping women with their problems, they said I had a way of comforting them but truthfully all I was doing was providing sisterhood. The highest compliment you can give a woman is calling her a Queen and that is how I address my fellow sistrens.

We have followed your Domestic Violence Movement, tell us about it?

In creating sisterhood I would get a lot of women being assaulted come to me for advice being a lot of them knew I was a survivor or someone I already helped would send them to me and next thing you know I was a voice for the voiceless. I became an advocate and that was 20 years ago. Since then I have created a village, a team of other survivors that return to help other women and we are called QHQ (Queenz Healing Queenz) empowerment sisterhood. Is under the umbrella of E2K MAGAZINE.

What has been the most difficult obstacle for you, if one?

In the beginning it was creating awareness of Domestic Violence, people was not taking it too serious until we started losing not only women but entire families due to domestic violence and no resources to educate the masses but slowly and surely is beginning to get the attention of the media, Hollywood and other countries worldwide. Lots of more campaigns are being established, the numbers can’t be ignored any longer 1 out of 4 women are assaulted every 9 seconds, by the time you finish reading this interview. Dozens of girls and women have been victimized.

What’s important to you about living your passion and still fighting?

The importance is to save as many lives as possible, by any means necessary; we are in a spiritual warfare and must stay in the fight. There are so many women and men that don’t even understand they are in that situation till is too late, so awareness is key.

What motivates you to start your day?

God, family and the responsibility I have as a humanitarian.

Give us one tip, that can change our way of thinking.

For me it would have to be creating or recreating your personal relationship with God. Once you have God’s Love and Peace in your life, through him all is possible.

You know our main focus is the generation x entrepreneurs. Do you have any pointers for the next entrepreneur startups?

Understand your market, don’t forget to legalize everything, don’t do it because is profitable for someone else, have a passion for what you are doing, and if you’re not willing to breath, eat and be about your business then leave it alone.

What’s next for EmmaE2K?

I pray greater things than what I am currently doing, the ability to motivate as many women as I can worldwide, I am working on a motivational book and look out for some seminars and workshops in 2017
Thank you for this opportunity and God Bless! #QueenSalute
